Keeping your cowhide rug in good condition requires regular maintenance and proper care. Here are some tips to help you keep your cowhide rug looking beautiful for a long time
Vacuum Cleaner

The most important maintenance cleaning you can do for your cowhide rug is to regularly remove dust and debris. Taking it outside and shaking the rug is an effective way to get any dirt off. A cowhide rug also thrives with regular vacuuming. You might try brushing your cowhide regularly with a plastic-bristled broom or standard cleaning brush as well. Regular brushing can help keep your rug looking beautiful over time.
Removing Grease Stains

Grease stains on your rug?
Have no fear! Start by gently scraping away the grease as best as possible with a brush, or anything with hard bristles.
We have found that using a small amount of eucalyptus oil on top of the stain helps to remove the stain. Simply apply a small amount of the oil and carefully rub it away with a dry, clean cloth.
Cowhide Curling?

Curling is unfortunately something that cowhide rugs can do. This can be due to
heat exposure like strong sun, heaters or under floor heating and normally happens over a long period of time. Tame a curling cowhide Lightly mist the top and underneath of your cowhide with water. You don’t need to saturate it, but just dampen.Place a towel underneath your cowhide and one on top of the curling piece. Pile up some of your heavy books on top of the curling piece and leave overnight.
Or steam iron with a cloth between the iron and your cowhide.
